At
KIDS
Services, we try to make our facility “kid
friendly” so that a child feels comfortable. Our child friendly
staff offers a comfortable visitation environment intended to foster
positive interaction.
We
have two playrooms at our centre that are well stocked with toys and
activities. Children of all ages, visiting parents and other family
members can choose from numerous activities, including, but not limited
to: Foosball, Air Hockey, Computer Activities (no internet), Board
Games, Video Systems (Wii, PSII), Dance Revolution, Karaoke,
Art Projects, Play Kitchen, Dollhouse, Legos, Fisher Price Play Sets,
Leap Frog Interactive Educational Toys, Interactive DVD Games and many
other activates. Parents are also encouraged to provide activities that
they have enjoyed doing with their children in the past.
Each room is set up as a family room that you would find in most homes.
Rooms are good sized, equipped with a sofa, love seat, table and chairs, children’s table and chair set, television and DVD
player. Participants can enjoy movies from our video library that has a
large selection for kids of all ages. These rooms are also appropriate
for storytelling and other quiet interaction between parents and
children.
Depending on the time of the visits, parents are encouraged to bring a
healthy meal or snack. Each visit starts in the kitchen where the
family visits while sitting around the kitchen table.
